He is survived by : his friend Jake; his children, Shayne Crandall, Shireen Cabral, Rodney Crandall (Susan) and Crystal Duchane (Joseph); his grandchildren, Amber, Faline, Levi, Lauren, Lilliana, Elizabeth and Angela; his great grandchildren, Roman and Sylvia; and his siblings, Josh Crandall (Michaela), George Crandall and Dawn Marczak (Eric). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“It's amazing how God works. Lester we all will miss you, you and your dog will be missed and my mom Bernice, we are all in disbelief. Grandpa Crandall, I'm sure you are all together having a ball playing cards with the Aunt Ruby and the rest of our family. It's very sad but I know you're in a good place and you're surrounded by family. May God bless the rest of the family and my mother Bernice sends her condolences. She loves you very much.”
