He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thorp and Lucile Baldwin Thorp; his son Timothy; his sister Jean Thorp Brobst; and his brothers-in-law, Barry Brobst, Clarence Guthrie (Ozzie), Richard, James, Charles and Daryl Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Carleen Purdy; his children, Lisa, Carla, Tara and Eric; his stepdaughter Cindy Purdy; and his siblings, Sally Guthrie, Betty Lou Harkness (Donald), Frank Thorp (Michele) and Todd Thorp (Deirdre).
