Ronald B. MacWhinnie Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald B. MacWhinnie (Wellsburg, New York), who passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David MacWhinnie and Lillian MacWhinnie (Boedeker); and his siblings, Robert, Raymond and Joan Matson.
He is survived by: his wife Sherida Petell; his children, Sally-Jo MacWhinnie of Cedarville, NY, Joanne Benson (Wayne) of Bentley Creek, PA, Sheri MacWhinnie (Troy Schoenly) of Troy, PA, David MacWhinnie (Judy) of Rocky Mount, VA and Heath MacWhinnie (Tammy); and his siblings, Roderick MacWhinnie (Joyce) of Pittsfield, Mass, Daniel MacWhinnie (Linda) of Lanesborough, Mass. and L. Barbara Wall (Cali) of San Mateo. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 41great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Robert's Funeral Home (279 Main St, Wellsburg, NY 14894). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bentley Creek Cemetery (15010 Berwick Turnpike, Gillett, PA 16925). A committal service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to the Newman W. Benson Acute Rehabilitation in Towanda, PA or the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Wellsboro, PA.
