Arthur J. Newman Obituary

Arthur J. NEWMAN, 54, of Wellsville, NY, died Tuesday, August 26, 2025 in UR Jones Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 9, 1971, in Springfield, MA. On February 22, 1997, in Virginia, he married Jeanine M. Lynch, who survives. A 1988 graduate of Trinity High School, Trinity, NC, Art owned and operated Absolute Auto Glass in Wellsville for many years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 702 in Wellsville and a social member of the Wellsville VFW.

Surviving besides his wife, Jeanine, are: two sons, Ryan (Sarah) Newman and Christopher Newman, both of Wellsville; his mother, Bonnie Latour of Pleasant Garden, NC; his father, Joseph (Ann) Newman of FL; step-father, Jimmy (Jeri) Guberski of Holly Springs, NC; a sister, Pamela (Shannon) Earls of Pleasant Garden, NC; stepbrothers, Michael Guberski of Holly Springs, NC and Nick (Julie) Newman of FL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rose Bennett, Terry (Reita) Lynch, Doug (Judy) Lynch, Monica Lynch, and Mary (Mike) Fisk; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Greg Lynch, Kathi Hunt, Matt Sturdevant, Kevin Dye, and Bob (Priscilla) Thompson. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Carter; paternal grandmother, Ceecee; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and George Lynch; brother-in-law, Robert Lynch; and sister-in-law, Eileen Kane.

Friends may call at J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, 34 West State Street, Wellsville, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. A gathering to celebrate Art's life will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Wellsville American Legion, 23 Jefferson Street, Wellsville, NY.
