He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Steffen and Alberta Steffen (Hower); his children, Julia Steffen, Lillian Hordendorf-Steffen and John Steffen; his siblings, Harold Steffen, Shirley Markle, Ken Steffen, Doris Conner, Virginia Neaus, Lois Weiss and Eleanor Miller; and his grandfather Francis Steffen.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald F. Steffen (Rosemary), Janice Wright (Michael) and Denise Lawrence (David); and his sister Irene Kern. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
