Philip G. Weimer Obituary

Philip Glade WEIMER, 84, of Wellsville, NY, died Thursday, October 2, 2025, in UR- Jones Memorial Hospital.

He was born on October 8, 1940, in Wellsville, the son of Glade Dorr and Valera M. Fessenden Weimer. On May 31, 1966, in Wellsville, he married Diana Layton, who survives.

Phil was a graduate of Wellsville Central School and the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. He was a veteran of the US Army. He then graduated from Alfred State Agricultural and Technical College. He was employed by Joyce Western Pipeline Company of Andover, Air-Preheater Company in Wellsville, and following his retirement, he worked for Scio Central School and Allegany County BOCES. He was a member of the Stannard's United Methodist Church, the Willing Volunteer Fire Department, the Wellsville, Scio, and Whitesville Rod and Gun Clubs, the Thelma Rogers Genealogical & Historical Society, plus a supporter of many charities.

Surviving in addition, his wife, Diana, are: two children, Christopher P. (Heather Hierl) Weimer of Tonawanda and Heather L. Weimer of Belmont, six, grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Dorr (Kathleen) Weimer of Fort Myers, FL; and two nephews.
