She was predeceased by: her parents, Fay Turkel and Louis Turkel. She is survived by: her husband Howard Schwartz; her daughter Lori (Ada); her son-in-law Neal; and her grandchildren, Allison, Matthew and Jennifer.

Her hobbies included crocheting baby blankets that she would donate to children in the hospital, genealogy, and reading Jewish novels.
