“I worked with Ilene at GfK. I was her supervisor for roughly 3+ years up until November of last year when I left the company. Like many, I am shocked and deeply saddened to learn of her sudden and untimely death. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the family over this tragic loss. Ilene was a wonderful person - very kind and generous - with an unbelievable work ethic. You could always count on Ilene – she was rock solid dependable. She gave her heart and soul to her work - and it resulted in very strong client relationships and repeat business. She was a gifted moderator and researcher who worked effectively across a range of audiences. She was both smart and creative, which is a very unique combination. As committed as she was to work, she was even more so about her family. She was always talking about her nieces and nephews and her mom down in Florida – we got to hear about all their accomplishments and the wonderful trips and travel she would take with you all. She clearly loved her family dearly. It was obvious that her nieces and nephews were the center of her universe. I am sorry I wasn’t able to make the service or Shiva on Long Island yesterday – I live in Chicago and had tried to arrange plans to work around business travel to be there but it just wasn’t possible. Please know that my thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. Ilene was a special person who will be greatly missed. With love and sympathy, Rob Hernandez”
