“I am sorry Roy passed away. He was the first person I met when I moved to New York in 1983. He got me started selling my pictures on the street. He was a warm friendly person, but he also had another side to him. He was a con-artist and sometimes very mean to his women friends. He was constantly getting himself into perilous situations because of his conniving. All in all Roy was no different than most of us and I am surprised and sorry he passed away. Bruce Arvon”

A truly gregarious soul he was who enjoyed thinking out of the box and challenging the status quo. Most of all, he was a staunch ally of the underdog.
