“To the family and loved one’s of Mrs. Nalven. I was a student of hers at Forest Hills high school back in 1976. So sorry to be hearing of her passing now almost 2 years later. She meaningfully impacted my life forever with her lovingly acerbic commitment to all of us becoming independent thinkers with an expansive vocabulary. Her wink and smile told the whole story. More importantly, my father died that year and Mrs. Nalven paid a shiva call to my home. It is something I will never,ever forget.”
