He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Catherine (Bradley) and Joseph Hugh McGovern Sr.; his siblings, Joseph Jr., Hugh, James and Mary; his sister-in-law Patricia; his nephew Joseph III; his niece Mary Theresa; and his in-laws, William, Margaret and Paul Angle.
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Bill (Christine), Donna Nunamann (Dale), Steven (Tara), Shawn (Carol) and Kathleen Ellis (Michael); his grandchildren, Meghan, Caitlin, Aidan, Kiley, Keegan, Thomas, Mikaela and Finley; and his sister Margaret McKay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
