The memory of Gary Messina of West Islip, New York, who passed away on July 11, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his wife Genevieve. He is survived by: his children, Gary (Laura Messina), Gina (Raymond Rudden), Glenn (Sharon Messina), Gayle (Ron Maginniss) and Genine (Marc DeCaprio); and his grandchildren, Gary, Chris, James Messina, Raymond, Michael, Bryan Rudden, Genevieve, Glenn, Casey, Reagan Messina, Sean Harvey, Erica, Kimberly Maginniss, Anthony, Jordan and Caleigh DeCaprio.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. (1225 Montauk Hwy, West Islip, NY 11795). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes R. C. Church (455 Hunter Ave, West Islip, NY 11795).
