She was predeceased by : her mother Deanne Burke Douglass; her sister Denell Douglass; and her parents-in-law, Richard and Carol Abel. She is survived by : her father David A. Douglass; her husband Roy Abel; her children, Tyler Abel (Katy Harp) and Traci Abel; her stepmother Donna Douglass; her sister Donna Austin (Alan); her sister-in-law Lorry Christensen (Jay); her nieces and nephews, JD, Lynn, David, Cory and James; her sister Hope Ann LoPresti; and her pet Maddy.

In view of Dawn's love of her pet dog, Maddy and her love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to an area humane society of your choice.
