We announce the death of Barbara J. Crisman of West Monroe, New York, who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Barbara will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Barbara will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Barbara’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard F. Sims and Mary Middleton Sims; her husband Wayne; and her son-in-law Michael Banks. She is survived by: her children, Terry Crisman (Donna), Margie Banks, Jenny Crisman (Eric Ackerman), Betsy Crisman (Theo Brown) and Amy Crisman. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harter Funeral Home, Inc. - Parish (2983 W Main St, Parish, NY 13131).
