He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul McBride and Olga McBride; his siblings, J. Patrick, Michael, Terry, A. Jean, Peg and Ted; his son William "Billy"; and his granddaughter Jennifer.

He is survived by : his daughters, Janet and Penney; his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Carley; his great grandchildren, Aidyn, Liam and Kian; his siblings, Patricia, Rosemary, Sharon, Thomas, Daniel and James; and also, Harold and Linda. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St Patrick's Church (216 N Lowell Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204). The military honors was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 12:15 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (4100 E Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13214). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the American Legion (8529 Smokey Hollow Rd, Baldwinsville, NY 13027).
