He was predeceased by: his wife Violet McKay; his close friend Judy Lukowski; and his siblings, Frances, Clara, Eugene and Rosie.
He is survived by: his children, Michele Ganschow (Mark) and Michael McKay (Janice); his grandchildren, Brendon (Kathryn), Bradley (Jordan Burnell), Michael (Carol Lavalle) and Jessie (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Blake and Emma; and his sister Irene Peters (late Frank). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Daniel R. Smolarek Funeral Home - Cheektowaga (2510 Union Rd, Cheektowaga, NY 14227). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St Gabriel's R. C. Church (5271 Clinton St, Elma, NY 14059).
