He was predeceased by : his parents, Victor Surma and Irene Surma (Frankevich). He is survived by : his significant other Maria Panaro; his daughter Eden Hovey (Nicholas); his grandsons, Logan and Lucas Hovey; his sisters, Barbara Bajdas (late Norbert) and Mary Langworthy (Richard); his niece Shawna DeSabio (Robert DiPalma); and his brother-in-law William Coughlin (Michele Panaro).
