He is survived by: his children, Timothy (Holly) and Sue Nichter; his grandson Matthew Nichter (Jesse Burgholzer); his stepsons, David Esmay, Michael Esmay and Mark Esmay; and his siblings, James Crowley (late Carol), Joseph Crowley (late Sharon) and Thomas Crowley (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoy Funeral Home (3855 Seneca St, West Seneca, NY 14224). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lakeside Cemetery (4810 Camp Rd, Hamburg, NY 14075). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo or SPCA, Erie Chapter.
