He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Takac and Olvia Takac; his wife Kathleen "Kathy" Takac; and his siblings, June Cotter (late Dan), Janice Forth (late Len) and Paul Takac.

He is survived by: his children, Robby Takac (Miyoko) and Trish Ambrose (John); his grandchildren, Julia Ambrose, Kaylee Ambrose and Hana Takac; and his sister Barbara Kwitowski (late Jim).

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Queen of Heaven Church (4220 Seneca St, West Seneca, NY 14224).
