He was predeceased by: his wife Judith; his parents, Samuel Dilena and Josephine Dilena; and his brother Kenneth Dilena (Ruth). He is survived by: his children, Mark V. Dilena (Laura) and Lisa Junge (Thomas); his grandchildren, Ashley Rose, Mark A. Dilena and Sean Alessi (Holly); his great grandchild Hunter Rose; and his sister Anita Carbonara (late Sebastian).
