She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Gigliotti and Rose Gigliotti (Pissoneault); her husband Robet Merkley; her siblings, Vincent Gigliotti, Francis Gigliotti, Frederick Gigliotti and Marian Shugart; and her siblings-in-law, Arvona Gigliotti, Harriet Gigliotti, Rita Liadka, Dorothy Evans and Wilbur Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Merkley and Ann Renee Merrick; her grandchildren, Bryant Merkley, Alan Merrick (Maranda) and Devin Merkley (Isabella); her great grandchild Winters Merkley; and her stepgreat-grandson Liam Stevens. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (305 W Main St, West Winfield, NY 13491). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery West Winfield (305 W Main St, West Winfield, NY 13491).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church , masses in her memory, or donations to the Herkimer County Humane Society or Susquehanna SPCA.
