Sonia Pelekis Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sonia Pelekis of Westchester County, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bardis and Mary Megalogenis Bardis of Keene, NY; her husband Andy; and her siblings, Evelyn Bacopulos, Velma Rowe, Marjorie Kanakis, John Bardis, Katherine Maydwell, Helen Brountas and James Bardis.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Pelekis (Jim), Jodi Shearer (Karl) and Taki Pelekis (Kirsten); and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Stephanie Blackwood, Alec, Zachary (Emily), Kayla Shearer, Andreas and Anika Pelekis.
Those wishing to remember Sonia in a special way may donate in her memory to St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Keene, NH; the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
