It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen R. Battalia of Westhampton Beach, New York, who passed away on June 22, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Stephen R. Battalia to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father O. William Battalia. He is survived by: his mother Dolores Battalia (Beata Wolniewicz); his children, Michael and Alessandra; the mother of his children Linda; and his siblings, Julienne Battalia (James Sturniolo), Lisa Battalia, Christina Battalia (Oliver Maggard), Gregory Battalia (Bonnie) and Paula Brand (Jason). He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews, and one great-niece.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mamaroneck-Larchmont Student Aid Fund's "Stephen Battalia Memorial Scholarship".

“I was so sorry to hear about Stephen's passing. I met him 20 years ago at Sheppard Pratt Hospital. We were both being treated for depression. Despite the dire circumstances of our meeting, I immediately saw Stephen's lovely, warm nature and talking with him helped. He spoke of his children with love and devotion and was pained that his illness caused him to be parted from them. I will remember him as a tender, kind man, a man I was happy to have known.”
