We are sad to announce that, on September 6, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Nivia Herena of White Plains, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Nivia leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Nivia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She has carefully documented her sought-after recipes for everyone to carry on her joy of cooking (even doing zoom classes during the covid19 pandemic) but truthfully no one will be able to recreate her exact culinary ability, her exact ability to transform her love of family to her incomparable meals.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Nivia's memory to the March of Dimes, Doctors Without Borders, or Madhatter Knits.
