With solemn reverence, we commemorate Richard George Cummings of White Plains, New York, whose life came to an end on October 11, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Pauline Elizabeth Cummings; his grandparents, John Paul, Edith Edmond Cummings, Joseph and Nellie Willis; and his grandson Scott Alexander Cummings Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Rosella Marilee Cummings; his sons, Melvin Devnor Cummings (Felecia) of Peekskill, NY and Scott Alexander Cummings of Stamford, CT; his sisters, Celeste Van Dyke of Bronx, NY, Barbara Dennis of Bronx, NY and Jonette Fenwick of Bronx, NY; his grandchildren, Tierra Jacqueline Monet Cummings, Alexis Danielle Jackson, Tarique Devore Cummings and Kira Anne Cummings; and his siblings-in-law, Rosa Mae Hogans, Annie Ruth Godette, Brenda Faye Forman, Mary Joyce Godette and John Jasper. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church (31 Manhattan Ave, White Plains, NY 10607). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at the White Plains Rural Cemetery (167 N Broadway, White Plains, NY 10603). ATTENTION: During the continuing COVID & various health concerns, as we phase back into smaller capacity public visitations/services, we need your help in limiting/controlling the number of people, so please govern yourself accordingly for the health & safety of all.
