He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Tierney and Isabelle Tierney (Cook); his brother Edward Tierney; his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Tierney and Louis Scagnelli; his nephew Paul Scagnelli; and his friend James Rafferty.
He is survived by: his wife Anne (Scagnelli); his nieces and nephews, Peter Tierney of Arlington, TX, Patricia Vogel (James) of Tulsa, OK, Susan Raymer (Kelly) of Edmond, OK, Laurie Allen (James) of Edmond, OK, Theresa Scagnelli of Wappingers Falls, NY, Lisa Magazine (Mark) of Atlanta, GA, Louis Scagnelli of Thornwood, NY and Michael Scagnelli of Poughkeepsie, NY; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Courtney Tetzlaff (Michael), Melissa Vollbrecht (John), Christopher Vogel (Angela), Michael Allen, Kevin Tierney (Whitney), Patrick Raymer (Lacey), Andrew Allen (Nicole), Steven Tierney, Danielle Scagnelli (Christopher), Elizabeth Scagnelli, Paul Scagnelli (Traci), Christina Protsko (Brad), Marisa Nonemaker (Andrew), Melanie Addison (John), Hannah Scagnelli, Matthew Scagnelli, Michelle Scagnelli and Joseph Scagnelli (Aly). He is also survived by many other great-great nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services (2 Maple Ave, White Plains, NY 10601). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Calendar Church of St. Anthony of Padua (85 Harrison St, West Harrison, NY 10604). A burial was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
