She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Peters and Mary Peters (Conroy); her brother Ray; and her husband Bill. She is survived by: her children, White Plains, Barbara Van Bergen (Gary) of White Plains, NY, Bill Healey (Sue) of Greenwich, CT and Tom Healey (Lee) of Alpharetta, GA; and her grandchildren, Danny, Katie Van Bergen, Billy, Tommy, Michael and Allison Healey.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made in Ruth's memory to Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
