She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph M. Batchie and Mary F. Batchie (Moccia); James'Bud'Cox and Arthur Scheffer, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, George Zanis Jr. (Ramsey NJ), Paul Zanis (Julianne), Matt Zanis Sr. and Joseph Zanis of Poughkeepsie, NY; her stepdaughter Valerie Wiebke (Kurt Wiebke); her siblings, Jack Batchie and Rosemary Spicuzza of South River, NJ; her grandchild Grandmopps; and her husband George Zanis Sr.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, Inc. (491 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY 10605). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Ruthann worked at many administrative and executive assistant occupations, beginning with The Foundation of Thanatology, founded by Dr. Austin Kutscher.
