He was predeceased by: his parents, George Murphy and Edna Murphy; his wife Jane Anna Murphy of Joseph's Church; his brothers, Edward, William and Philip; and his brother-in-law Paul Getman.
He is survived by: his siblings, George Murphy (Christine) of Utica and Ellen (Charles) of Utica; his siblings-in-law, Mary Getman of Troy, Edward Anna of Albany and Carol LaTeer of Utica; his friend Janice Lucadamo; and his niece Rebecca (Lisa Davis). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes - Whitesboro (40 Main St, Whitesboro, NY 13492). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
The family kindly requests that donations in Richard's memory be made to The Abraham House of Rome and the New York Mills Volunteer Fire Department.
