It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Sellers Coggins of Whitesboro, New York, who passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Powell Sellers and Fanny Iola Young; her husband James M. Coggins; her children, James M Coggins and Ruth; her sons-in-law, Gordon Sergi and Timothy M Scouten; and her siblings, John, William, Rose, Christine, Jack and Mary.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jane Scouten, Joseph and Jeffrey; her daughter-in-law Nina Coggins; and her grandchildren, James, Samantha Scouten, Tabitha Trummer, Jared Coggins, Ethan Coggins, Christopher Coggins, Jason Coggins, Dan, Scott Kinney and Roberta Durighello. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
