He is survived by: his brothers, Bernard Whalen (Laura) of West Hempstead and Frank (Denise) of Auburn; his nieces and nephews, James, Kevin Whalen, Jennifer DeVercelly (Matthew) and Melissa Masseria (David); and his cousins, Bridget, Dan Pavelchak and Tavis Whalen.
