We announce the death of LaRae M. Ploof in Whitney Point, New York, born in Potsdam, New York, who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 50. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ploof and Judith Ploof (Robson). She is survived by: her sons, Tanner Phippen (Gabby Wilson) and Cameron Sharlow; her grandsons, Tripp and Liam Phippen; her siblings, Michael Ploof (Lisa) and Sherri Arquiett (Brad); her stepmother Nancy Ploof (Bola); and her brother Brent Ploof. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hammill Funeral Home (653 NY-11C, Winthrop, NY 13697). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Carville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers or donations to charitable foundations, LaRae's family has decided to honor her life in a dignified way by setting up a memorial campaign to provide support during their time of grief.
