He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Rich and Sara Rich; his former wife Barbara Nichols; and his son Dr. Andrew Nuijens. He is survived by: his wife Julie; and his children, Lynelle Rich, Karen Elizabeth Vanderlinde (Tim), Richard Nuijens (Joanne), Matthew Nuijens and Dan Nuijens (Kristin). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
