He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Gerner and Mildred Gerner; his former wife Barbara Eggert; and his brother Ralph Gerner (Mary). He is survived by: his wife Jean Gerner; his children, Russell Gerner (Theresa), Craig Gerner (Cindy) and Barry Gerner; his sister Phyllis Kriegbaum (late Hank); his grandchildren, Keola Gerner (Hope), Victoria Brown (Carson) and Daniel Gerner; his great grandchildren, Braxton, Logan, Leiah, Amelia, Calvin and Vanessa; his niece Colleen Plewniak; his nephew Bobby Moynahan; David. He is also survived by 5 great nephews, 1 great niece, 5 great-great nieces.
