Ellen C. Hooven Obituary

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Ellen had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Ellen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Roger L. Hooven; her children, Roger J. Hooven (Joanne) and Laura Showell (Evan); her grandchildren, Toni Pettis (Christopher), Sophia Hooven, Alexander Showell and Olivia Showell; and her great grandchild Lucas Pettis. She was also cherished by 6 siblings; also servived by loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (8900 Sheridan Dr, Clarence, NY 14031).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ellen's memory may be made to the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, 742 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, NY 14209.
