He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Hughes and Eleanor Hughes; and his stepfather Arthur C. Schupbach. He is survived by: his wife Diane Hughes; his son Patrick Joseph; his siblings, Patrick Hughes (Jo Ann), Eleanor Minks (Edward) and Amy Hughes (John); and his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Elizabeth, Claire and Nora.
