It is with sadness that the passing of Merle R. Hamilton in Willow, New York is shared. Merle, born on December 10, 1927 in Richmond, Virginia, passed away on September 22, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merle R. Hamilton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Fitzhugh Leigh Jr.; and her parents, Grover Rhodes and Lila Rhodes. She is survived by: her children, Gregory Hamilton and Debra Hamilton; her grandchildren, Timothy Hamilton (Holly) and Jesse Patrick (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Kaleigh Hamilton, Lexie Hamilton and AJ Patrick; and her brother Ronald Rhodes (Sara). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Vestal United Methodist Church (328 Main St, Vestal, NY 13850). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
