He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen Failla and Mary Canzoneri Failla; his siblings, Vincent Failla, Vito Failla and Rose Marie Merlo; and his grandson Nicholas Failla.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Morath Failla; his children, Linda Grant, Patricia Fay, Robert Failla (Denise) and Donna Peters (John); and his sisters, Anna Caserta and Angeline Cannizzaro. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
