He was predeceased by: his former wife Alison Jones Burner. He is survived by: his parents, David L. Burner (Sandra) and Rosemary Hileman Burner; his children, Matthew Burner and Abigail Burner; his wife Amanda Simmons; and his sisters, Julia Kalis (Stephen) and Susan Bankowski (Brandon). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
