Leighton Jr. of Wilson, New York, born in Niagara Falls, New York, who passed away at the age of 78, on July 28, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, David A. Leighton Sr. and Natalie Bielic Leighton; and his siblings, Robert Leighton and Janice Massung. He is survived by: his children, Tammie Cooper (David), Wendy Harris (Jim), Lawrence Kropp Jr., Laurie Carnes (Ron), Kevin Kropp (Terry), Brian Kropp, Sandra Leighton and David A Leighton III. He is also survived by children, 35 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. (2670 Main St, Newfane, NY 14108). A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the North Ridge Cemetery.
