He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Whitmore and Eliza Whitmore (Hallstead); his siblings, Ruth Rowe, Helen Hillman, Velma Baldwin, Jenny Dodge, Vickie Bullis, Lois Drake, Nellie Mead, David and Raymond Whitmore; his wife Phyllis Witzenberger; and his son-in-law Raymond Delamarter.

He is survived by: his children, Rona Rich and Charles Whitmore; his grandchildren, Lindsey, Hannah, Charlotte, Kourtney Delamarter, Zach Rich and Zoey Rich; his siblings, Marie Rowe, Edward Whitmore (Rosie), Richard Whitmore, Jack Whitmore (Michelle) and Donald Whitmore (Charlene); and his brother-in-law Herbie Witzenberger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
