He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Dawn; his parents, Jim Monroe and Sharon Monroe; his in-laws, Carl and Barbara Brown; his wife Dawn Brown Monroe; his children, Jena Champion (Robert) and Seth Monroe (Ashlee); his grandchildren, Renton, Emerson (Fin), Easton and Heavenly; his sister Tammy Darnell (Gary); his siblings-in-law, Sherry Horanburg (Curtis), Mark Brown (Lori) and Renee Carpenter; his friends, Pat, Anne Daul, Lynne and Peter Swendsen; and his sibling's children, Brandon, Amber, Nick, Jesse, Jeremy, Zack, Makena and Ty.
In lieu of flowers Jeff asked that memorials be made to Wilson Fire Company #1 "Jeffs memorial ice cream fund" or the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
