It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John R. Racette of Wilson, New York, who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Racette and Lucille Gratton Racette; and his sisters, Elma Whitney and Gladys Rizzo. He is survived by: his children, Raymond Racette (Andrea) and Thomas Hamelink; his grandchildren, Amber Fetterhoff (Brandon), Andrew Hamelink and Mattie Hamelink; his great grandchildren, Landon, Branson and Leena; and his sister Lillian McCray.
The military honors will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Western New York National Cemetery.
