He is survived by: his close friend Kelli Wolters Schaffer; his children, Samantha Herman (Jeremy) of Toledo and Lance Heil of Toledo, Ohio.; his stepdaughter Melissa Schaffer (Rob Gorish); his granddaughters, Erica Kwapich (Ricky) and Alexa Burling; his sister Carol Conover (Jim); and his nibling Dana Pomerantz (Dave). He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
