It is with sadness that the passing of Peter O'Brien (Windham, New York) is shared. Peter, born on August 8, 1926 in East Jewett, New York, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas O'Brien and Mary O'Brien (McHugh); his wife Joy O'Brien (Burke); his sons, Peter O'Brien Jr. (Isoko) and William O'Brien; and his siblings, Clarence O'Brien, Thomas O'Brien, Teresa Decker (O'Brien), Rose Beers (O'Brien) and Catherine O'Brien.
He is survived by: his children, Eileen Roselli (Jeff), Michael O'Brien (Celia) and Kathleen Adams (Russ); and his stepson Henry Elbrecht. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Decker Funeral Home (5312 NY-23, Windham, NY 12496). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Knock Shrine (2052 NY-145, East Durham, NY 12423).
