He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Tharrett and Ida Jane Tharrett (VanAlstine); his son Michael Tharrett; his son-in-law Marvin E. Rust; and his sister Patricia L. Parks.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Rust, Gary (Cathy Tharrett), David (Patricia Tharrett), Michelle (James Brockway) and Wayne (Sandi Tharrett); his siblings, Robert (Donna Tharrett) and Pamela Levitt; and his daughter-in-law Sue Tharrett. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
