It is with sadness that the passing of Gene M. Cathy of Wolcott, New York is shared. Gene, born on June 8, 1938, passed away on August 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Ingram and Mertie Hughnar of Penn Yan; her husband Donald F. Cathy; her sons, Robert F. Cathy (Bob) and William F. Cathy (Bill); and her grandson Dereck M. Cathy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanette M. Cathy and Donna M. Cathy; her grandson Dominic F. Fratto; her great grandchildren, Azyriel Cathy and Kaleb Cathy; and her sister Eleanor Parker. She is also survived by several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Norton Funeral Home - Wolcott (5925 New Hartford St, Wolcott, NY 14590). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Norton Funeral Home (5925 New Hartford St, Wolcott, NY 14590). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Elk's Lodge (6161 W Port Bay Rd, Wolcott, NY 14590).
