He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Schlaefer and William Decker; his son George Decker Jr.; and his siblings, Anita Decker, Lois Pedalino, William Decker Jr. and Richard Decker Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Carol Decker; his children, Alice Decker Monaco, Susan Pugliese (Paul) and Eric Decker (Stacy); his grandchildren, Evangeline, Gabrielle, Jamie, George and Eric Jr.; his great grandchildren, Declan, Lilia and Sofia; and his caregivers, Kelly Kopp and Lauren Williams.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Boys Town, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
