He is survived by: his wife Doris Bowers; his children, Dale Bowers, Sue-Ellen "Susie" Osterhout (Earl) and Patricia "Patti" Bonnell (Sean); his grandchildren, Brittney Siegel (Hunter), Hope Monforte (John) and Wade Bonnell; his great grandchildren, Leah Siegel and Johnny Monforte; his sisters, Mary Lou Mears and Rose Ann Knox; and his sister-in-law Geraldine Bowers.
The family asks that donations be made in John's name to St. Jude Children's Research Foundation in his memory.
