She is survived by: her sons, Michael and Kenneth; her grandchildren, Matthew, Miranda, Emily and Sean; her daughters-in-law, Rachelle and Leonor; her brother Thomas Reilly; and her close friend James M. Dwyer.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Leo F. Kearns, Inc. (61-40 Woodhaven Blvd, Rego Park, NY 11374). A Mass was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church (110-06 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375). A burial was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:15 PM to 11:45 PM at the St. John Cemetery (80-01 Metropolitan Ave, Flushing, NY 11379). Joan's resilience was strengthened by life-defining events, from the effects of WWII to 9/11 and the pandemic.
